Sequence analysis: entire coding region

Genomic sequencing of the entire coding region is mostly restricted to the coding region (or exons; whole exome sequencing) but can also include the detection of splice sites (up to 50bp on both sides of the exon) to detect an alternative splice variant. Known regulatory units (part of 5'UTR and 3'UTR sequences) and sometimes the promoter of the gene can also be included in the sequence analysis.
